Josh Oswalt is a Senior Manager at Forward Risk, having rejoined the company in 2025 after previously working at Forward Risk in 2022 and 2023. Between his tenures at Forward Risk, Josh worked in the federal government as a Presidential Management Fellow in the Office of the Executive Secretariat, Privacy, and Information Management at the United States Office of Personnel Management.
Josh works within Forward Risk’s investigations and due diligence practice areas to support clients across a wide range of open-source intelligence research projects, including shareholder activism/corporate proxy contest investigations, investigative due diligence in advance of acquisitions, investments or business partnerships, executive and employee candidate vetting, asset traces, and bespoke intelligence projects. Josh has a particular interest in leveraging genealogical research databases and techniques for client work.
