Liza joined Forward Global in September 2023. She specializes in UK and EU competition and advises on sustainability, litigation, M&A, market investigations, abuse of dominance and cartels. Previously, Liza worked as a lawyer for the Office of Fair Trading (now the Competition Markets Authority) where she gained in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, publishing industry and technology markets. Most recently, she was a Senior Advisor to the Financial Conduct Authority where her work focused on big tech, AI, data, innovation, and the new consumer duty in financial services markets. Liza continues to be a non-Governmental Advisor to the International Competition Network (ICN) appointed by the Competition Markets Authority. Liza is a Board Member of the Open Markets Institute in Washington DC and sits on the advisory board of the Journal of Antitrust Enforcement (OUP). She holds a PhD in Law and a Master’s degree in European Competition Law – both from King’s College London. She speaks English and Danish.
